The Baca County Fair in Springfield celebrates the dryland wheat farming county in the extreme southeastern Colorado corner where the Dust Bowl hit hardest — Baca County was one of the epicenters of the 1930s Dust Bowl, and the county's resilient farming families have maintained their agricultural traditions through a century of drought, grasshoppers, and economic hardship.
What to Expect
Expect livestock shows, 4-H and FFA competitions, wheat and dryland crop exhibits, rodeo events, local food vendors, and a fair celebrating the extraordinary resilience of southeastern Colorado's farming families.
Visitor Tips
