The Fair

Every year, Cheyenne hosts the Laramie County Fair, which is an 11-day late-July celebration in Wyoming's capital and largest city, drawing the biggest crowds of any county fair in the state during the famous Cheyenne Frontier Days. A 1909 founding makes it one of Wyoming's longer-running agricultural traditions, still going after more than a century.

Local Tips

The Laramie County Fair overlaps with Cheyenne Frontier Days, the world's largest outdoor rodeo — the two events together make late July in Cheyenne an extraordinary Western experience.

What You'll Find There

Expect championship livestock shows, 4-H and FFA competitions, a large midway, grandstand entertainment, and the cowboy capital spirit of Cheyenne — Wyoming's largest city and rodeo mecca.
