About Custer County Fair
The Custer County Fair in Custer celebrates the Black Hills county containing Custer State Park — the largest state park in South Dakota with the largest publicly owned bison herd in the world, the Needles Highway granite spires, and the Wildlife Loop Road wildlife viewing.

Expect livestock shows, 4-H and FFA competitions, rodeo events, local food vendors, and a fair drawing from the greater Custer area and the Black Hills ranching community.
Visitor Tips
Custer State Park 71,000 acres contain 1,400 bison, mountain goats, bighorn sheep, and burros that beg for treats along the Wildlife Loop. The Needles Highway and Iron Mountain Road are two of America most spectacular scenic drives. Mount Rushmore is just north in Pennington County.
