About Woodward County Free Fair
Held each August in Woodward, Woodward County Free Fair celebrates the wheat, cattle, and natural gas heritage of a city that serves as the commercial hub for a broad swath of the Oklahoma High Plains and short-grass prairie country.
What to Expect
Expect livestock shows, FFA and 4-H competitions, carnival rides, local food vendors, and a community fair serving the farming and ranching families of northwest Oklahoma.
Visitor Tips
Woodward is the Queen City of the Plains — the Plains Indians and Pioneers Museum, the Fort Supply Historic Site (one of Oklahoma's earliest military posts) nearby, and the Great Plains landscape of the Cimarron and North Canadian river corridors define this northwest Oklahoma hub.
