About Washita County Free Fair
Held each August in Cordell, Washita County Free Fair celebrates the wheat, cotton, and cattle heritage of a county along the Washita River that preserves the quiet agricultural character of the old Kiowa-Comanche-Apache Reservation country.
What to Expect
Expect livestock shows, FFA and 4-H competitions, local food vendors, and a community fair in the red clay and cedar country of the Washita River watershed.
Visitor Tips
Cordell is the Washita County seat — the town's historic downtown and the surrounding Washita River valley farmland preserve the character of southwestern Oklahoma's early settlement era, and the Wichita Mountains are visible on the southern horizon.
