About Comanche County Free Fair
Held each August in Lawton, the Comanche County Free Fair celebrates the agricultural and military communities of a county dominated by Fort Sill — one of the oldest and most historically significant military posts in the American West, and the place where Geronimo was held as a prisoner of war.
What to Expect
Expect livestock shows, FFA and 4-H competitions, carnival rides, live entertainment, and a fair serving the diverse communities of Lawton, Fort Sill, and the surrounding Comanche and Kiowa tribal country.

Lawton sits at the base of the Wichita Mountains — Fort Sill National Historic Landmark and Museum (with Geronimo's grave on the post), the Museum of the Great Plains, the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge (with free-roaming bison, longhorns, and elk), and the Medicine Park resort village make this one of the most activity-rich corners of Oklahoma.
