About Jefferson County Free Fair
Held each August in Waurika, Jefferson County Free Fair celebrates the agricultural heritage of a county along the Comanche border that has produced cotton, grain, and cattle since its settlement in the Kiowa-Comanche-Apache land allotments.
What to Expect
Expect livestock shows, FFA and 4-H competitions, local food vendors, and a community fair in the rolling plains and red clay country of Jefferson County.
Visitor Tips
Waurika is the Jefferson County seat — Waurika Lake (one of the better fishing lakes in south-central Oklahoma) and the surrounding cotton and wheat plains between Lawton and Ardmore define the Jefferson County landscape.
