The Newton County Fair in Decatur is an August fair in the Piney Woods of east-central Mississippi, celebrating the cattle, timber, and poultry heritage of a county along the Chunky River where the rolling red clay hills of central Mississippi transition toward the longleaf pine forests of the south.
