The Louisiana Sugar Cane Festival in New Iberia celebrates the lifeblood of south Louisiana's agricultural heritage — the sugarcane harvest — over four days each late September. Held along Bouligny Plaza in the heart of historic New Iberia, this beloved Iberia Parish fair is one of Louisiana's most culturally rich agricultural celebrations.

What to Expect

Crown of Queen Sugar ceremony, Art Show, Family Farm Fest, Tractor Parade, Children's Parade, the Grand Royalty Parade, Blessing of the Crop, Flower Show, Sugar Cookery Contest, a fais-do-do with live Cajun and zydeco bands, carnival rides, and exceptional south Louisiana food vendors.

Visitor Tips

Located at 128 W. Main St. in downtown New Iberia, in the heart of Cajun country along Bayou Teche. New Iberia is also the home of Tabasco sauce on Avery Island — combine with a tour of the McIlhenny Company and a drive through the Avery Island salt dome gardens.
