What to Know
In Eagle, the Eagle County Fair & Rodeo is a beloved mountain community fair in Colorado's Vail Valley corridor. Eagle County encompasses some of Colorado's most iconic ski resorts — Vail and Beaver Creek — but its summer fair celebrates the genuine ranching and agricultural heritage that predates the ski industry by decades.
Before You Go
Eagle is on I-70 about 30 miles west of Vail. The fair provides a wonderful contrast to the resort-focused identity of the Vail Valley — it's the real, year-round community of Eagle County on display. August evenings at 6,600 feet elevation are cool and spectacular.
On the Midway
Livestock competitions, 4-H and FFA exhibits, PRCA rodeo events, carnival rides, fair food, and live entertainment. The fair is a favorite of valley locals who appreciate the authenticity it brings to an area dominated by resort tourism.
