The Oldest Fairs in Arizona

Every year, Phoenix hosts the Arizona State Fair, which is a 32-day October-November spectacular at the state fairgrounds in central Phoenix, drawing millions of visitors for the Southwest's premier annual fair. Since its 1884 founding, it's endured as a century-plus Arizona agricultural tradition.

Every year, Tucson hosts the Pima County Fair, which is an 11-day late-April celebration in the Old Pueblo, drawing hundreds of thousands from the Sonoran Desert's most cultured city for the region's premier spring fair. First held in 1911, it's carried on as an Arizona agricultural tradition for well over a hundred years.

Every year, Chino Valley hosts the Yavapai County Fair, which is a four-day mid-September celebration in the high grasslands above Prescott, serving the ranching and rapidly growing communities of Arizona's most topographically diverse county.
