About Northampton County Fair
The Northampton County Fair in Eastville celebrates the southern tip of Virginia's Eastern Shore — a long, narrow peninsula where the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean frame a county of seafood, salt marsh farming, and barrier island wilderness, including Chincoteague Island and the barrier islands of the Coastal Barrier Resources System.
What to Expect
Expect seafood vendors, watermen's craft displays, 4-H competitions, local agricultural exhibits, and a community fair celebrating the unique culture of Virginia's most isolated peninsula county.
Visitor Tips
Eastville is the southern county seat of the Eastern Shore. Cape Charles — a beautifully preserved Victorian railroad town on the Chesapeake Bay — is the county's largest town. The Virginia Coast Reserve barrier islands are one of the East's most pristine coastal wilderness areas, accessible only by boat.
