The South Texas State Fair in Beaumont is an eleven-day October fair in the Golden Triangle, one of Southeast Texas's premier fair events drawing visitors from across the Beaumont-Port Arthur-Orange metropolitan area and the surrounding oil refinery and rice farming communities. First held in 1907, it has been a Texas agricultural tradition for over a century.

Expect major grandstand entertainment, livestock shows, FFA and 4-H competitions, carnival rides, demolition derby, and a full fair midway in one of Texas's most industrialized and agriculturally diverse regions.

Visitor Tips

Beaumont anchors the Golden Triangle at the edge of the Texas refinery coast — the Spindletop-Gladys City Boomtown Museum (site of the 1901 Lucas gusher that launched the oil age), the Texas Energy Museum, and the Big Thicket National Preserve are all nearby.
