Nacogdoches is home to the Pineywoods Fair, which is an October fair in the "Oldest Town in Texas," celebrating the timber, poultry, cattle, and blueberry farming heritage of a county where Spanish missions, Cherokee heritage, and the East Texas Piney Woods converge.
