Every year, Ada hosts the Pontotoc County Free Fair, which is an August fair in the Chickasaw Nation heartland of south-central Oklahoma, celebrating the cattle, oil, and Chickasaw heritage of a county that is home to East Central University and one of the most significant centers of the Chickasaw Nation's governmental and cultural revival.
Fair Highlights
Expect livestock shows, FFA and 4-H competitions, carnival rides, local food vendors, and a fair serving the Chickasaw Nation communities and farming families of the rolling Cross Timbers and red hills country south of the Canadian River.
