The Pittsburg County Free Fair in McAlester is an August fair in the Oklahoma coal country of southeast Oklahoma, celebrating the mining, cattle, and Choctaw Nation heritage of a county whose county seat hosts the Oklahoma State Penitentiary and the nation's oldest prison rodeo — the McAlester Prison Rodeo.
