The Fairfield County Fair in Lancaster is one of Ohio's largest county fairs and one of the last major fairs of the season, running in mid-October. Dating to 1841, it is one of Ohio's oldest and most enduring agricultural fair traditions. Its late date gives it a distinctive autumn atmosphere. Harness racing is featured.

What to Expect

The fair is famous for its enormous livestock program — particularly its horse show, one of the largest in Ohio — as well as competitive 4-H exhibits, harness racing, nightly grandstand entertainment, and an expansive midway.
