About Burleigh County Fair

The Burleigh County Fair in Bismarck celebrates the North Dakota state capital on the Missouri River — Bismarck's "On-a-Slant" Mandan village, the remarkable North Dakota State Capitol's art deco "skyscraper on the prairie," and the productive Missouri River bottomland farms and ranches of Burleigh County come together at a well-organized capital-city fair.

What to Expect

Expect livestock shows, 4-H and FFA competitions, carnival rides, live entertainment, local food vendors, and a fair drawing from the greater Bismarck-Mandan metropolitan area.

Visitor Tips

The North Dakota State Capitol's 19-story Art Deco tower is the tallest building in North Dakota and one of the most distinctive state capitals in America. Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park preserves On-a-Slant Mandan village and the cavalry post from which Custer departed for the Little Bighorn. The Missouri River provides excellent fishing and recreation.
