The Oldest Fairs in North Dakota

Jamestown's Stutsman County Fair is a four-day late-June celebration in the home of the world's largest buffalo sculpture, serving the James River valley communities of central North Dakota.

The Red River Valley Fair in West Fargo is a ten-day July Fourth celebration serving the Fargo-Moorhead metro area, the largest fair in North Dakota by attendance. The fair got its start in 1906 and has remained a North Dakota agricultural mainstay ever since.

Minot is home to the North Dakota State Fair, which is a nine-day late-July celebration in the Magic City, drawing visitors from across the state and the northern plains for livestock competition, major entertainment, and state fair tradition. First held in 1922, it's carried on as a North Dakota agricultural tradition for well over a hundred years.
