The Storey County Fair and Recreation Board was formally dissolved and renamed the Virginia City Tourism Commission per county commission resolution, and no standalone county fair currently operates — the historic Storey County Fair Grounds and Events Center still hosts other events, including the Virginia City Grand Prix motocross race.
