The Washington County Fair in Greenville is a September fair in the heart of the Mississippi Delta, celebrating the cotton and blues heritage of a city that was once the most cosmopolitan city in the Delta — a literary center that produced Shelby Foote, Walker Percy, Hodding Carter, and other major American writers who called this Delta city home.
