Visitor Tips

Belzoni is the catfish capital — the Catfish Museum and Visitor Center, the annual World Catfish Festival (each April), and the surrounding catfish ponds and cotton fields of the central Delta define Belzoni. Fannie Lou Hamer was born in Sunflower County but did much of her civil rights work in the Belzoni area.
