About Monmouth Fair
The Monmouth Fair, organized by the Cochnewagan Agricultural Association since 1907, is one of Maine's earliest summer fairs, bringing agricultural traditions to Kennebec County in late June. This community fair offers an affordable, family-friendly experience with strong ties to the local farming community.
What to Expect
Livestock shows, agricultural exhibits, carnival rides, live entertainment, harness racing, and traditional fair food. The June timing makes it one of the first major fairs of the Maine fair season.
Visitor Tips
Located at 79 Academy Road in Monmouth, about 20 miles south of Augusta. Admission is $7 for ages 13 and up; children 12 and under are free. The June dates mean pleasant early-summer weather for fair-going.
