About Rowan County Fair
The Rowan County Fair in Morehead is the summer highlight for the communities of eastern Kentucky's gateway region, held each July near Morehead State University. Rowan County sits at the edge of the Appalachian foothills, and the fair bridges the agricultural traditions of the Bluegrass and the mountain culture of eastern Kentucky.
What to Expect
Livestock competitions, 4-H and FFA exhibits, carnival rides, live entertainment, and fair food. The fair draws families from across the northeastern Kentucky region.
Visitor Tips
Morehead is on I-64 about 65 miles east of Lexington, at the edge of the Daniel Boone National Forest. Cave Run Lake and the Sheltowee Trace trail are nearby.
