About Harrison County Fair
The Harrison County Fair in Cynthiana is a beloved Bluegrass-region county fair running for eight days each mid-July. Cynthiana is a small historic city on the Licking River known for its antebellum architecture and Civil War history, and the fair has been a fixture of community life for generations.
What to Expect
Livestock shows, 4-H and FFA competitions, carnival rides, live entertainment, demolition derby, fair food, and community exhibits. The multi-day run gives the fair a relaxed, community-centered atmosphere.
Visitor Tips
Cynthiana is on US-27 about 30 miles north of Lexington. The Battle of Cynthiana Civil War site is nearby, and the downtown has beautiful 19th-century commercial architecture.
