About Valley County Fair
The Valley County Fair in Cascade celebrates the Payette River drainage and the McCall area's outdoor recreation economy — Valley County contains Payette Lake at McCall, one of Idaho's premier resort towns, and the Frank Church Wilderness's western approaches, alongside cattle ranching in the Long Valley and timber in the surrounding national forests.
What to Expect
Expect livestock shows, 4-H and FFA competitions, local food vendors, and a fair drawing from both the traditional ranching families of the Long Valley and the growing outdoor recreation community around McCall.
Visitor Tips
McCall's Payette Lake and the Winter Carnival — famous for elaborate snow sculptures — attract visitors from across the Pacific Northwest. The Payette River's Class IV-V whitewater in the Banks-to-Lowman corridor is one of Idaho's premier kayaking and rafting destinations. Brundage Mountain ski resort serves the McCall community.
