About Lemhi County Fair

The Lemhi County Fair in Salmon celebrates the birthplace of Sacagawea — the Lemhi Shoshone woman who guided Lewis and Clark was born in the Salmon River country, and today the Salmon River's "River of No Return" character, the Bitterroot and Lemhi ranges' remote wilderness, and the county's cattle ranching communities define a mountain county of exceptional historical significance.

What to Expect

Expect livestock shows, 4-H and FFA competitions, rodeo events, local food vendors, and a fair drawing from the greater Salmon area and the Lemhi County ranching families.

Visitor Tips

The Salmon River's Class IV and V whitewater makes it one of America's premier wilderness river adventures. Sacajawea Interpretive, Cultural & Educational Center in Salmon honors the county's most famous daughter. The Bitterroot Divide's trails follow the Lewis and Clark route over the Continental Divide.
