About Cassia County Fair

The Cassia County Fair in Burley celebrates the Mini-Cassia area's potato and dairy empire — Burley and neighboring Rupert produce some of Idaho's finest potatoes and dairy products on irrigated Snake River Plain land, and the county's Raft River Mountains provide recreational contrast to the agricultural flatlands. The area's broader history includes notable events and landmarks dating to 1905.

What to Expect

Expect livestock shows, 4-H and FFA competitions, major potato and dairy exhibits, carnival rides, local food vendors, and a well-organized fair drawing from the greater Burley area and the Snake River Plain farming communities.

Visitor Tips

Burley's Snake River bridges and the Twin Falls area's irrigation infrastructure (built by the Twin Falls Land and Water Company starting in 1905) opened the desert to agriculture. The City of Rocks National Reserve's granite spires and the California Trail ruts near Almo define the county's historical and geological significance.
