A Closer Look
The Georgia-Carolina State Fair, based in Augusta, is a major regional fair serving both Augusta-area Georgia residents and neighboring South Carolina communities across the Savannah River. A 1923 founding makes it one of Georgia's longer-running agricultural traditions, still going after more than a century. Held at the Bell Auditorium and Augusta common areas, this large fair celebrates the shared heritage of the Central Savannah River Area.
Planning Your Visit
Augusta is in eastern Georgia on the South Carolina border. The fair draws from both sides of the river. Downtown location means street parking can be limited — plan to use designated fair parking. The Augusta area is known for its live music scene so check for headliner entertainment acts.
Fair Highlights
Large carnival midway with dozens of rides, live entertainment, livestock competitions, 4-H exhibits, demolition derby, motorsports events, fair food from many vendors, and commercial exhibits. One of the largest fairs in the greater Augusta region.
