Scott County Fair Overview
Every year, Waldron hosts the Scott County Fair, which is an August fair in the Ouachita Mountains of west-central Arkansas, celebrating the timber, cattle, and poultry heritage of a county in the rugged Ouachita Mountain interior where the forested ridges and hollows preserve one of the most remote and traditional cultural landscapes in the state.
Highlights
Expect livestock shows, FFA and 4-H competitions, local food vendors, and a community fair in the forested Ouachita Mountain country of Scott County.
Good to Know
Waldron is the Scott County seat in the Ouachita Mountains — the surrounding Ouachita National Forest, the Poteau River corridor, and the Queen Wilhelmina State Park to the west (with its mountaintop lodge and scenic overlooks) define the remote Ouachita Mountain character of this west Arkansas county.
