About Johnson County Fair
Every year, Clarksville hosts the Johnson County Fair, which brings together the farming and ranching families of the Arkansas River Valley each August. Clarksville sits between the Ozarks to the north and the river valley bottomlands below, giving the county a rich mix of upland and lowland agriculture that is well represented at the fair.
Visitor Tips
Clarksville is home to the University of the Ozarks, giving the town a welcoming college-town feel during fair week. The Arkansas River valley scenery along I-40 makes the drive from Little Rock or Fort Smith particularly scenic in late summer.
What to Expect
Livestock competitions, 4-H and FFA youth exhibits, carnival rides and midway games, fair food vendors, live entertainment, and community exhibits celebrating river valley farm traditions. The eight-day run gives families multiple chances to take in all the fair has to offer.
