About Newton County Fair
The Newton County Fair in Jasper is a July fair in the Arkansas Grand Canyon country, celebrating the cattle, timber, and Buffalo River heritage of the most rugged and scenically spectacular county in Arkansas — home to both the Buffalo National River (the first National River designated in the United States) and some of the highest terrain in the Ozarks.
What to Expect
Expect livestock shows, FFA and 4-H competitions, local food vendors, and a community fair in the dramatic limestone bluff and hardwood forest country of Newton County.
Visitor Tips
Jasper is the Newton County seat above the Buffalo River canyon — the Buffalo National River (with its towering 500-foot limestone bluffs and crystal-clear Ozark stream) is one of the most spectacular natural areas in the central United States, and Hemmed-In Hollow (the tallest waterfall between the Rockies and the Appalachians) makes Newton County an Arkansas must-visit.
