Visitor Tips
Florence is the cultural capital of the Shoals — the Alabama Music Hall of Fame, the W.C. Handy Birthplace Museum (W.C. Handy, the "Father of the Blues," was born in Florence in 1873), the Muscle Shoals Sound Studio, and Wilson Dam (one of TVA's most impressive hydroelectric dams) make Florence a must-visit north Alabama destination.
