The Biggest Fairs in Michigan

Billed as the world's largest free-admission fair, the Ionia Free Fair runs 10 days each July and draws around 400,000 visitors without charging a penny for general admission. Dating to 1867, it features a massive midway, top-tier grandstand entertainment, extensive livestock competitions, and the kind of deep fair roots that keep generations coming back.

Named Michigan's most popular county fair by USA Today, the Allegan County Fair set an all-time attendance record in 2024.
