The Biggest Fairs in Florida

Founded in 1952 and held at Tamiami Park since 1972, the Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition runs 21 days each spring and ranks among the top 35 fairs in North America. The fair reports more than 500,000 guests in 2025, drawn by over 80 amusement rides, livestock and agricultural competitions, and one of Florida's largest youth exhibit programs.

The South Florida Fair runs 17 days across three weekends every January at the South Florida Fairgrounds, one of the state's largest and longest-running fairs. 2025 attendance reached 406,570 — a slight dip from 2024 despite early rain, with six individual days setting new records once weather cleared. The fair serves Palm Beach County and the wider South Florida region with a full midway, livestock shows, and concerts.

The Florida State Fair runs 12 days each February at the Florida State Fairgrounds east of Tampa. Attendance rebounded 17.5% to 397,992 in 2025 after a rain-shortened 2024, though still below the 405,888 (2023) and 428,200 (2022) marks posted in prior years. A large midway and Florida-focused agricultural and livestock competitions anchor the event.

The Central Florida Fair runs roughly 10 days each February/March at the Central Florida Fairgrounds and typically draws more than 200,000 visitors. Fair leadership called 2025 the "best year since 2020," with the first Sunday setting an attendance record dating back to at least 2012 and revenue up 34% year-over-year.

The North Florida Fair is a multi-week event each November/December at the North Florida Fairgrounds, serving Tallahassee and the Big Bend region. Local news covering the fair's 82nd year in 2024 reported over 130,000 attendees the prior year, making it one of the region's largest annual gatherings.
