The Outagamie County Fair in the Fox Cities region is one of Wisconsin's earliest county fairs, running in late June when summer is just hitting its stride. Appleton and the surrounding Fox Valley communities bring strong 4-H and FFA participation.

Livestock shows, 4-H competitive exhibits, carnival midway, fair food, and grandstand entertainment draw families from the Fox Cities metro area.
