Tri-State Fair

What to Know

Held annually in Amarillo, the Tri-State Fair is a ten-day September fair serving the agricultural communities of Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico, one of the largest fair events on the High Plains drawing visitors from across the tri-state Panhandle region. A 1923 founding makes it one of Texas's longer-running agricultural traditions, still going after more than a century.

Before You Go

Amarillo sits on the Texas Panhandle at the crossroads of I-40 (Historic Route 66) and US-87 — Palo Duro Canyon State Park (the "Grand Canyon of Texas"), the Cadillac Ranch public art installation, and the Big Texan Steak Ranch are local landmarks.

On the Midway

Expect major grandstand entertainment, livestock shows, FFA and 4-H competitions, carnival rides, demolition derby, and a full fair midway serving the Panhandle's farming and ranching communities.
