About Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo at NRG Park is the world's largest livestock show and rodeo, a twenty-day February through March spectacle that draws over two million visitors annually and generates millions in educational scholarships for Texas students. It's gathered Texas communities together since 1931.
What to Expect
Expect world-class ProRodeo competition in a 70,000-seat stadium, headliner concerts every night (from country to pop to rock), champion livestock from across the country, carnivals, a barbecue cook-off with hundreds of competing teams, and the full energy of the most impactful fair event in Texas.
Visitor Tips
The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo barbecue cook-off opens the event and is a massive spectacle in itself — plan around a headliner concert and arrive early for the livestock shows. NRG Park has excellent transit access via the METRORail Red Line.
