About Erath County Junior Livestock Show

The Erath County Junior Livestock Show (ECJLS) in Stephenville is a January youth livestock show in the "Cowboy Capital of the World," celebrating the dairy farming, cattle ranching, and rodeo heritage of a county that is home to Tarleton State University and produces more milk per cow than nearly any county in Texas.

What to Expect

Expect livestock and dairy shows, FFA and 4-H competitions, carnival rides, local food vendors, and a community fair in the rolling Cross Timbers and mesquite grassland country of Erath County.

Visitor Tips

Stephenville is famous as a rodeo powerhouse — more Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association world champions have come from Stephenville than any other city in America. The Stephenville Historical House Museum and the Bosque River valley are all worth exploring.
