Sumner County is a prosperous Middle Tennessee county north of Nashville on Old Hickory Lake, where Andrew Jackson's Tennessee political network was headquartered and where Gallatin's growing community, Castalian Springs — home of Bledsoe's Fort and one of Tennessee's earliest American settlements — and the county's horse and cattle farming tradition converge.
