About Roberts County Fair
The Roberts County Fair in Sisseton celebrates the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate homeland in the northeast corner of South Dakota where the Coteau des Prairies rises to its highest elevation and the Dakota people have lived in this lake-dotted landscape since ancient times.
What to Expect
Expect livestock shows, 4-H competitions, Native American cultural exhibits honoring the Sisseton-Wahpeton Dakota heritage, grain exhibits, local food vendors, and a fair drawing from the greater Sisseton area.
Visitor Tips
The Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate tribal headquarters in Agency Village preserves Dakota culture and history. Fort Sisseton State Historic Site is one of the best-preserved frontier military posts in the Great Plains. The Coteau des Prairies lakes provide excellent fishing.
