About Delaware County Fair

The Delaware County Fair is one of Ohio's largest and oldest county fairs, with roots going back to 1816. Held north of Columbus, it draws upwards of 400,000 visitors over its week-long run. The fair is nationally famous as the home of the Little Brown Jug — one of harness racing's Triple Crown races — drawing 35,000 to 40,000 spectators on Little Brown Jug Thursday alone.

What to Expect

The fair is known for its massive scale — extensive livestock barns, a large midway, the nationally renowned Little Brown Jug harness race on the featured Thursday, 4-H competitions, and a grandstand lineup that has featured major national acts.

Visitor Tips

Delaware fills up fast all week — consider going on a weekday to avoid the heaviest crowds. The fairgrounds are large; comfortable walking shoes are a must.
