About Richmond County Fair
The Richmond County Fair in Rockingham — not to be confused with Rockingham County in the Triad — celebrates a Sandhills county where golf, peaches, and tobacco have defined the economy, and where Rockingham Speedway has hosted NASCAR racing since 1965, drawing motorsports fans to this otherwise quiet Pee Dee River county.
What to Expect
Expect livestock shows, 4-H and FFA competitions, peach exhibits, local food vendors, and a community fair reflecting the agricultural and motorsports heritage of the Sandhills.
Visitor Tips
Rockingham Speedway's "The Rock" has been a NASCAR oval since the 1960s. The Pee Dee River and Blewett Falls Lake provide fishing and boating, and the county's peach orchards produce some of the finest fruit in the Carolinas.
