About NC Mountain State Fair
The NC Mountain State Fair in Fletcher is a ten-day Western North Carolina showcase drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors from across the Southern Appalachians for championship livestock, entertainment, and mountain culture. The fair has been running since 1994, building a following across the surrounding area.
What to Expect
Expect blue-ribbon livestock competitions, 4-H and FFA exhibits, a major carnival midway, nationally known grandstand acts, Appalachian craft demonstrations, and outstanding mountain food.
Visitor Tips
Fletcher is just south of Asheville — book accommodations well in advance as the Asheville area fills completely during fair week. The fair is a highlight of the mountain fall season.
