After decades of annual runs, the Duplin County Agribusiness Fair ended in 2024, per a Duplin Times report. It has been replaced by the Duplin County Farm Fest, a community agriculture celebration hosted by N.C. Cooperative Extension (first held September 7-13, 2025).
