The Fair
Forsyth was once home to the Taney County Fair, held for decades at the fairgrounds on Burmingham Road. The fair has not taken place since 2019 -- Fair Board Chairman Casey Gideon told KRZK 106.3 in 2022 that the COVID-19 pandemic, rising carnival costs, and a shrinking volunteer board led to it being discontinued, though he hoped to bring it back one day. The fairgrounds still host standalone events like the Demolition Derby and truck and tractor pulls, but the county fair itself has not returned as of 2026.
