About Southeast Missouri District Fair
The Southeast Missouri District Fair — the SEMO District Fair — is held each September in Cape Girardeau, the largest city in Missouri's bootheel region and a hub of commerce and culture along the Mississippi River. As the district fair for southeast Missouri, it is one of the region's largest agricultural events, drawing exhibitors and visitors from across the SEMO region.
What to Expect
Eight days of livestock competitions, 4-H and FFA showcases, carnival rides, fair food, and grandstand entertainment make this one of the most comprehensive fair experiences in Missouri outside the state fair itself.
Visitor Tips
Cape Girardeau has excellent dining, shopping, and a vibrant riverfront area — plan to spend extra time in the city beyond the fairgrounds for a complete visit.
