About Fillmore County Fair

The Fillmore County Fair in Preston celebrates the Driftless Area of southeast Minnesota where the Root River carves limestone bluffs and valleys through a landscape untouched by the last glaciation, creating Minnesota most dramatic topography and the state premier trout fishing and cycling destination.

The Root River State Trail 60 miles of paved cycling trail through river valleys and small towns is one of Minnesota finest recreational trails. Lanesboro arts colony and bed-and-breakfast scene is nationally recognized. Niagara Cave near Harmony provides underground tours.
