About Topsfield Fair
The Topsfield Fair is one of America's oldest agricultural fairs, established in 1818 by the Essex Agricultural Society — the same year as the Skowhegan State Fair in Maine. Held annually at the Topsfield Fairgrounds in Essex County, this 11-day fair is a beloved North Shore of Massachusetts tradition drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors each October.
What to Expect
Championship livestock competitions across all species, world-record giant vegetable competitions (the biggest pumpkins in the world compete here!), championship horse shows, carnival midway, live entertainment, 4-H and agricultural exhibits, craft fair, commercial vendors, and classic New England fair food. The giant vegetable competition is world-famous.

Located at 207 Boston Street in Topsfield, about 25 miles north of Boston, easily accessible from I-95/Route 1. The Topsfield Fair is one of the best fall events on the North Shore.
