About Jackson County Fair
The Jackson County Fair in Murphysboro celebrates southern Illinois Shawnee Hills wine country and the home of Southern Illinois University — SIU Carbondale anchors a college community surrounded by the forested hills of the Shawnee National Forest and the Big Muddy River valley farming communities.
What to Expect
Expect livestock shows, 4-H and FFA competitions, wine exhibits from the Shawnee Hills wine trail, local food vendors, and a fair drawing from the greater Carbondale area.
